Matured in second fill wine and second fill ex-bourbon casks. Finished in first fill Cognac casks.

Nose: Citrus zest, vanilla and oak. Sea breeze and a touch of barley sugar. Subtle pepper spice. Heavy peat reak notes.

Palate: Smooth caramel, toffee and vanilla. Balanced by a touch of brine and a hint of warm spice.

Finish: Long prominent peat smoke and maritime sea salt.

Rating: 8.4/10

This heavily peated release sure isn't for everyone. But if you like this flavour profile then it if worth giving it a go. For me, needs a touch more balance to the sweet and smoke dominant flavours. I would want the bitter citrus rind notes to come through a little

more.
